Voucher Problems

Fixes for expired, already-claimed, or wrong-programme voucher errors.

Voucher Not Found

Error: "Voucher not found" or "Invalid code"

This usually means the code was entered incorrectly. Voucher codes are case-sensitive.

  • Check for typos — the letter O and number 0 are often confused, as are I and 1.
  • Ensure there are no leading or trailing spaces.
  • Copy-paste the code if possible rather than typing it manually.

If the code is still not found after careful re-entry, the voucher may not have been issued for your programme. Contact the issuer of the voucher (the organisation that sent it to you).

Voucher Already Claimed

Error: "This voucher has already been claimed"

Each voucher code can only be claimed once. If you receive this error and you did not claim it yourself:

  • Check your own transaction history — it may have been claimed on a previous session.
  • If you believe the code was used fraudulently, contact support immediately at support@finwallet.co.za.

Voucher Expired

Error: "This voucher has expired"

Vouchers have an expiry date set by the issuing provider. Once the expiry date passes, the voucher cannot be claimed. Expired vouchers cannot be reinstated by FinWallet — you would need to contact the original issuer to request a replacement.

Always claim vouchers promptly. Check the expiry date printed on or alongside the code.

Wrong Programme

Error: "This voucher cannot be claimed into this wallet"

Vouchers are programme-specific. A voucher issued for Programme A cannot be claimed into a wallet belonging to Programme B.

  • Check which programme the voucher was issued under (usually stated in the message you received it in).
  • Select the matching wallet when claiming, or request that a wallet for the correct programme be created for your account.

Voucher is Voided

Error: "This voucher is no longer valid"

A voided voucher has been administratively cancelled, usually due to a duplicate, error, or fraud prevention. Voided vouchers cannot be claimed. If you received a voided voucher in error, contact the issuing organisation — they will need to issue a replacement.

Still Stuck?

If none of the above resolves your issue, email support@finwallet.co.za with the voucher code (mark it clearly so support can look it up), the error message you saw, and your account details. We'll investigate and respond promptly.
