What is Airtime Cashout?
Airtime cashout converts your FinWallet balance into mobile airtime, topped up directly to
your phone number. It's the fastest way to extract value from your wallet for everyday use.
Airtime cashout availability depends on your wallet's programme. If the option is not visible,
your current programme may not support this cashout channel. Contact support to confirm.
How to Cash Out via Airtime
- Open FinWallet and go to your wallet.
- Tap Cash Out.
- Select Airtime Top-Up as the cashout channel.
- Enter the mobile number to top up (defaults to your registered number).
- Enter the amount. The amount must not exceed your available balance.
- Review the summary and tap Confirm Cashout.
- Your request enters processing. You'll receive a notification when the airtime is delivered.
Processing Times
Most airtime cashouts complete within a few minutes. In rare cases, processing can take up
to 15 minutes depending on the mobile network. If your airtime has not arrived after 30
minutes, contact support with your cashout reference number.
What Happens to Your Balance
When you submit a cashout request:
- The requested amount is immediately reserved — deducted from your available balance.
- Once the airtime is delivered, the reservation settles and the transaction is finalised.
- If the cashout fails, the reserved amount is released back to your available balance automatically.
Limits and Restrictions
- You cannot cashout more than your available balance.
- Minimum and maximum cashout amounts may apply depending on your programme.
- If your wallet is suspended, cashouts are not permitted until the suspension is resolved.
Tip: Keep your cashout reference number from the confirmation screen. You'll
need it if you contact support about a delayed or missing top-up.
